The purpose in rebranding Jewel Within–a small candle and bath bomb company founded in 2018–was to convey a more polished, sophisticated presence that appeals to larger retailers and attracts new customers while maintaining the fun and memorable essence that sets them apart. Known for its signature scents that evoke cherished memories and favourite places, Jewel Within adds a unique twist to self-care by hiding a surprise 925 sterling silver jewellery piece within each handmade, eco-friendly product.

The Problem:
Jewel Within website, catalogue, and labels were not resonating with their target audience or attracting new customers. Their visuals were outdated and failed to communicate the essence of their brand, risking lost engagement and trust. Because they wanted to expand within their current market, plus enter new larger markets, Jewel Within’s branding needed to be refreshed and adaptable to resonate across consumer expectations and make more impactful connections.

Jewel Within’s rebrand was a significant visual improvement from their previous designs, creatively reflecting the brand’s aesthetics and values. The website's visually stunning and effective online shopping experience, along with the catalogue and labels, added versatility to their brand visuals and marketing assets that resonated emotionally with their target customers, thus increasing business growth potential.

The goal was to create a website theme that reflects the brand's essence while appealing to its target audience. After discussions with the client, I decided on a design featuring soft, earthy tones paired with rich, elegant elements to convey tranquility and luxury. The layout combines modernity with a feminine aesthetic utilizing clean lines and a minimalist design for sophistication. The user-friendly navigation includes prominent calls to action which ensure a seamless shopping experience. The color palette incorporates shades of beige, light gray, white, light green, brown, light pink, and black, creating an inviting atmosphere that evokes relaxation and luxury. High-quality images showcase the products, enhancing their appeal and reinforcing the brand's connection to nature. Typography was carefully selected for readability and brand alignment resulting in a balanced and visually appealing presentation. Furthermore, the website successfully merges modern design with a warm, inviting feel, creating an engaging online shopping experience that resonates emotionally with customers.
