The concept for Magis is a highly anticipated custom car shop video game that goes beyond traditional gameplay to offer an immersive experience where players can restore vintage muscle cars, hotrods, and trucks. Magis aims to pay tribute to the craftsmanship and passion of car enthusiasts while introducing a fresh and innovative approach to virtual car shops. The game’s focus on interactivity, creativity, and attention to detail ensures it appeals to both car lovers and gaming fans. The project requires the development of a full Brand Identity, including core brand design elements such as the Magis Brand Standards Guide, a versatile Logo System, Merchandise Design, and the creation of a distinctive Collector’s Edition Package. These deliverables will work together to establish a compelling storytelling experience and cohesive identity for the Magis brand.

This is the concept behind the collector’s edition packing idea of a car racing game, which combines an appealing of a physical model with the digital excite­ment of a gaming adventure. When one plugs in the USB attached to the die-cast model car, they become part of the world created by a custom car shop video game.

The corporate stationery provided for the game Magis reflects a cohesive and well-thought-out branding strategy, enhancing the overall brand identity and professionalism. Each item in the stationery set contributes to a consistent visual theme that aligns with the game's concept of vintage car customization. By maintaining consistency in design elements and branding across all stationery items, Magis has created a strong and memorable brand presence that will resonate with its audience.

The Problem:  

 

The problem in creating the Brand Identity and Art Direction for Magis is how to develop a unique and cohesive visual identity that effectively communicates the game’s immersive experience and appeals to both car enthusiasts and gamers. The challenge is to create a brand that reflects the craftsmanship, creativity, and excitement of restoring vintage muscle cars, hotrods, and trucks, while also distinguishing Magis from other automotive games in the market. The brand identity needs to be strong and versatile, ensuring consistency across various platforms, from in-game graphics to merchandise and collector's edition packaging. The Art Direction must strike a balance between authenticity and innovation, making the game visually engaging and attractive to a broad audience.

The Solution:  

 

The solution to creating a cohesive Brand Identity for Magis was to blend modern precision with iconic retro styling to reflect the essence of the game. The use of stunning photos captured the excitement and authenticity of restoring vintage cars. The Logo System embodies this balance presenting a sleek yet bold design that resonates with both automotive enthusiasts and gamers. The Merchandise Design further reinforces the brand identity, incorporating playful elements and a sense of creativity, making the products attractive and collectible. By designing a unique Collector’s Edition Package, it adds an exclusive touch that appeals to fans and collectors alike, making Magis not just a game but an experience. This focused and friendly brand identity successfully ties together all visual components, from logos to merchandise, creating a unified and engaging presence that stands out in the gaming market.
